Throughout my three years as a career creator, I've had a lot of fun experimenting with the careers, testing the limits to find out what I can and can't do. After spending some time looking through the Careers XML in the GameplayData file, I found a few lines of coding which might add a little extra something to a custom career. So I've compiled a list here for your enjoyment:
EA Additions
Holiday Bonus - from Seasons
Making Careers Available in the Future - Into the Future
Downtown Work Hours - Late Night
Omni Career Additions - Twallan
Transfer Career - Used in my Apprenticeships. Use the GUID of the career you want the part time one to promote into.
Genders - Make a career gender specific. Use either Male or Female.
Lot Designator ~ Allows you to choose a word to feature in the name of the lot to determine whether the career shows up.
For example, "Sunset Gym and Leisure" would allow the career to show, but "Sunset Leisure Centre" wouldn't.

Alright, I have a question. I understand the coding and I know in which file to add it, but where would you add it in the file itself? It's mostly about the gender specific I am interested in right now, I would like to make my monk career male only.

I actually found a short tutorial on how to make careers available for the future, so I guess it replies my question. (I can't seem to be able to paste on the tablet, so what is the point in copying?) He also made a career that I do not remember seeing in your list, Xtreme career from TS1. I actually used to love it

I usually put them underneath the <RabbitholeType></RabbitholeType> line. Options like the Holiday bonus and Downtown Start times will be for each level and go underneath the regular start times

I could use that. Make it so that my career needs to be on a lot called 'something something monastery' with a mausoleum on the lot. This way the career wouldn't be available in the graveyard (which is where he is right now).
Maybe I will make two versions, some people might not want to build a monastery, even a small one.
