So I already posted that I wanted a Small Town Law Enforcement career earlier, I have actually worked on making one all day but some how messed it up. If anyone would be willing to help that would be great. SmallTownLawEnforcement.package (9.42 KB)

Goodmorning. I took a quick look at your file but it seems to be empty. I'm home all day today and I'd be happy to see if I can help out if you upload the one you worked on.

I think I've messed it up somehow. If you would like I can try and do it again then message it to you to have a look at?

Sure thing. Just upload it here and give me a shout. So here it is finally, I'm on one of the last steps where I've done the English strings and I'm trying to edit the STBL but it won't let me do it for some reason? If you could have a look that would be great:) SmallTownLawEnforcement.package (25.61 KB)

If you could have a look that would be great:) View AttachmentHey, I'm so sorry for the late reply. I never got the alert you responded for some reason. First thing first: You've left the BLANK.Opportunities, BLANK.CareerEvents, BLANK.Books there. Then in your .dll XML file you've left some fields as BLANK. I assume you're not going to add opportunities or books? I tend to remove what I don't need, although I have no idea if it causes problems to leave them as blanks. Same with your .Careers file. You've left a few things as BLANK in the code there as well. I'd go ahead and remove those lines if they're unneeded. Everything I don't need, I remove for my own sanity, lol. I see what you mean about your English STBL file. It didn't let me edit it either so I deleted and replaced it with a new one and it opens just fine for me. I'd guess you mistyped something in the Type field (I usually open the UnhashedKeys STBL file with and copy the Resource Type from there to remove any chance of mistyping) Give it a try now. I removed the BLANKS like you advised and managed to edit the STBL:) i finished the package seemingly fine, it wont show up in my game though so it might need a bit more tweaking!

Does it give you any errors at all? If so, open them with Notepad and see what they say. In your career file after editing the English Strings STBL did you make sure the numbers remained 00 (I know it shouldn't happen, but more than once they've reverted to other numbers after editing the STBL for me. Doesn't hurt to check). Also, when copy/pasting your <KEY> lines, did you make sure you weren't including any blank spaces before or after the line of code (a good way to make sure is to see if the line of numbers and letters it changes into is the same as the corresponding line from your UnhashedKeys txt file). If the hash isn't the same, the line won't show up in the game. Normally that shouldn't stop the career from showing up at all, but you never know! If you want to, feel free to attach the career here to take a look at.

This error came up actually: ScriptError_DESKTOP-PSFB5P8__12-28-2020__22....xml (1.17 KB)As for the other stuff I'm going to have to edit the STBL file again because I think I clicked something I shouldn't have and messed it up lol, thankfully I can start again from the file you attached earlier, I'll add it once I'm done.

OK, I have no idea what this error says, sorry! When I get errors, they usually point out where I've messed up. Alright, let me know how it goes and good luck

That's ok! I tried to do it again but I'm still not doing it right, I think I'll give up for now lol I'd suggest going over the whole tutorial with a fine tooth comb, step by step, and see where things went sideways in your career. Maybe it's not the STBL files at all but you've jumped over something else. In my first career, I completely glossed over the .dll XML file as if it didn't exist and I was pulling my hair why it wasn't working I had to redo everything from scratch to catch it. I can take a look if you want to zip everything up and send it over but it's completely up to you.

Its probably something super simple:) I'm going to give it a rest and come back to it, because I really want a Sheriff for my town. Haha yeah, that must have been frustrating. Here it is if you want to have a look: SmallTownLawEnforcementCareer.zip (8.47 KB) also this is the last error file: latest error.txt (12.42 KB) if you can take anything from that! Thank you so much for your help so far, it has made a difference

Here it is if you want to have a look: View Attachment also this is the last error file: View Attachment if you can take anything from that! Thank you so much for your help so far, it has made a difference Erm, you sent the wrong career.package. This one is the empty one you made to write your career in. The error file certainly lists a lot! I don't know what the Booter things it mentions are but I did see a BLANK career in there. Any chance you mistakenly put the empty career package in your game to try? It's the kind of obvious mistake, I'd do,lol. Also, try removing all custom careers (and custom content, to be on the safe side) when you load the game again. Keep just the NRaas Career module, ErrorTrap and your career, to avoid any confusion. I test my careers in an empty Sunset Valley with only my testing family, their house and the rabbitholes. That way I avoid any possible conflicts with other careers or CC/mods showing up, plus the save file loads faster.

Here should be the proper one: SmallTownLawEnforcementCareer.package (17.02 KB) Yeah I'll try it again now without any other unnecessary cc/mods Ok I tried it again and its still not showing up in the rabbithole:/
