All these years and no Maid career?! It should be under the self-employment mod. Or used with that particular mod. Somebody! Anybody! Please get on this idea!
Cleaning houses for a living. The job could start off with networking. 1.) Putting ads on the computer. or standing outside in front of shops handing out flyers or something. 2.) Building clientele. 3.) Receiving calls about a customer/client wanting their house or place of business cleaned.
Once establishing yourself with at least 5-8 clients, you can start recruiting others to join you, thus forming a team of maids. The same EA based maid outfit can be used of course. Anyone who makes jobs can get creative with the outfit or add any others as the sim climbs up that career ladder. Opportunities should be added as well. For example:
The first few jobs can be cleaning regular houses. Then offices(spa, business, hospital, gym, etc). Then moving on to cleaning for the president at City Hall or something like that.
Just an idea. I want to get the conversation going on this.

Just moved this to the Request A Career forum Interesting ideas there! Setting it up as a self-employed is a bit beyond most capabilities at this time though, so there might not be many takers at this stage. Have you thought about giving a Rabbithole version a go yourself? A lot of the ideas you've got would definitely work for a Rabbithole equivalent, through opportunities and events.

Honestly, I've never done the whole Rabbithole method. Only because I don't know how to. I'm sure it could work.

This idea of a maid career sounds great. It could be a profession as well, not sure if its considered the same thing as self-employed though. I wouldn't mind going to other sims houses to clean, like mop, do laundry, make beds and all. That would be amazing if someone actually creates it
