I've long changed the job titles and descriptions of EA careers. My latest project was to create two flavors of the Military career, one geared toward Air Force and one toward Army. I use the Air Force career override in worlds with space for an air base and use the Army override in other worlds with only an army base or no base at all.
These are the new titles, with Air Force on the left and Army on the right. Still not happy with "Grease Monkey," which is the Army mechanic level, so I will likely change that in the future.
I'd be interested to see what other EA careers anyone else has modified.

Ooh nice! I don't play with military careers much but your new army titles make so much sense!
Edited to add: Why on earth did they combine astronaut/space travel with military? Maybe I'm strange but it's a career path that would make most sense with Into The Future rather than base game. Now you make me want to tackle the career myself to remove all traces of space travel and keep it as a nice, normal military career.
For the record I do love your Air Force/Army separation. All we need is a Navy oriented career and it'd all be rounded up.

Thanks, Tiger. I just don't seem to have the sense of humor to appreciate titles like "Trail Dust Eater" or "Useless Contraption Manipulator" and have changed as many as I could over the years. I really debated about removing "Astronaut" and using something more like "General," but I didn't want it to be too much like the Army one. And I was too lazy to want to change all the opportunities and other things that went with it (which I did do for the Army one).
There are some careers where I've changed every level title, like in the Architectural Designer --
Level Original Job Title Customized Job Title 1 Fabric Fetcher Fabric Coordinator 2 Pattern Spotter Pattern Specialist 3 Placement Planner Decor Specialist 4 Feng Shui Fiend Feng Shui Expert 5 Decor Debutant Interior Decorator 6 Furniture Fashionista Interior Designer 7 Regent of Rugs Creative Design Consultant 8 Aesthetic Architect Interior Stylist 9 Sultan of Style Design Artisan 10 Dictator of Design Architectural Designer

Such titles are amusing but can you imagine someone telling you they're "Feng Shui Fiend" with a straight face? It sounds like something out of a "saying something wow in order to avoid telling someone you're the guy/gal that hands the tools to the plumber" meme. Considering most of EA's career titles/level names are cringe-worthy, can I ask how you went about changing them? It certainly sounds like something I'd like to do for my game.

Oh, golly. I'm a terrible tutor. Missy would be far better at explaining. Years ago, I wrote out a Word document for myself that goes through the steps how to open and edit the STBL files from the DeltaBuild.0 package. I would be happy to send that to you and then you could ask specific questions here. Just let me know if you want it.

Sure thing. I've only opened the GameplayData.package once to take a look at the premade uniform codes so this should be fun! My email is Villy2010@gmail.com. Thank you so much!
