Creating the teen jobs, like my Apprenticeships, is actually incredibly straightforward, so I've written a little tutorial. This works for any kind of Part Time career. The basics for creating these jobs is exactly the same as the main tutorial, with only a few minor differences in the .Careers file. So some experience creating full time careers is advised.
1) In the .Careers file, you'll be familiar with the layout. The first chunk of text looks a little like this:
Underneath the RabbitholeType code, add this:
This enables the career for Teens only. For a part-time career for Teens upwards, you'd put TYAE.
2) Once you've done that, fill in the information as normal. But when you get the to FullClassName, change it to this: NRaas.Gameplay.Careers.OmniCareer, NRaasCareer
so it looks like this:
3) Now change the <Category></Category> to PartTime instead of FullTime.
4) And that's pretty much it. The only other thing you'll want to bear in mind is that for Teens to hold down jobs, they have to be after school hours. So starting at 4pm is probably advisable. The exception to this would be if you were creating a set of Saturday jobs for your teens. In which case the hours would be entirely up to you - just make sure the only work day is Saturday!
If you wanted your teens to have uniforms, use this set of coding:
and follow my tutorial on uniforms Here.
Most Part Time careers in the Sims have only three levels, but this is entirely up to you. Additionally, Part Time careers cannot have opportunities.
And that's it! Those are the only differences between a full time career and a part time career.
