I've been working on making a custom career, and everything seemed to be going well, but it's not showing up in game and I keep getting this script error Entomology: Constructor Fail Sims3.Gameplay.Careers.Music, Sims3GameplaySystems I've probably missed something silly in my coding, so I've uploaded both my career file and the script error. Thanks in advance! EntomologyCareer.7z (15.51 KB)

Hi there, welcome to the forum! It's usually something silly! I took a look for you and the only thing I can see is the code for your offer. In your Entomology.Careers file, you've got this: <Text_JobOffer>Entomology</Text_JobOffer> However, your UnhashedKeys looks like this: Gameplay/Excel/Careers/CareerList:EntomologyOffer The UnhashedKeys is the correct setup, it needs the 'Offer' on the end. I can't see any other problems in your code, so I reckon that might be the problem. Give it a shot and let me know how you get on! The script error also references your Tone file. It's under the impression the career guid doesn't match, although I looked and it does to my eyes. So let me know if that error comes up again. Good luck!

It's still giving me the same script error I check the GUIDs, as well, and they seem to match to me also lol, and I compared it to my working custom career that I did a while back, and the tone files look the same (aside from the names lol) EDIT:: I even tried removing the skill tone (like shown in the tutorial) and it's still giving the same error

This career's determined to be unhappy, isn't it? Okay, the only other thing I can suggest is deleting the FullClassName and replacing it. Try using the Science class name instead. I'm sure I had this with the Accountant career once when I was making some changes to it. I ended up redoing the career but hopefully it won't come to that with yours. So if you change the FullClassName to this: <FullClassName>Sims3.Gameplay.Careers.Science, Sims3GameplaySystems</FullClassName> <Guid>Science</Guid> Make sure you keep the rest the same. Try that and see if it works.

Unfortunately it's still doing the same thing so I guess I'm gonna try and redo it and hopefully not run into the same problem lol thanks for the help, anyways!!
